December Diving

Temps have definitely dropped since my last dive almost two months ago. Went looking for sea horses but no luck. Spotted 4 “new to me” species of nudibranch, and saw some alive (for now) squid for the very first time here in CA! Pretty cool, and literally, pretty cool – dipped into the high 50s on my computer so after two tanks I was thinking about dry suits…

If you like nudibranchs, always give a closer look to clumps of “stuff” like this. Small clusters of hydroids will often have small egg masses, which are often indicative of nudibranchs which often lay their eggs near or on their food sources.
